Translation Services

Many people believe that the birth of a translator takes place once a person becomes fluent in a second language.  A translation is not the literal word-for-word conversion of one language into another.  The real art of translating is to make the reader feel as if the text was originally written in their own language.

It is often assumed that using translation software vs. human translators produces the same quality and is far less expensive. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There is no translation software on the market today that is a substitute for the human brain. Translations should always make sense and sound perfect to the native speakers of the target language.

Our Translation Process

At The Translation Shop (TTS) we know you have options, so we adhere to a strict step by step process in order to ensure the highest quality translations:

1. Relationship Manager Assignment. Every project is assigned to an RM responsible for the leadership of the project from inception to completion. The RM will ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are met by working closely with the client and the translation team.
2. Translation. The RM will assign the translation to a native linguist specialist with extensive expertise in the specific field of the project. The Translation Shop is proud to have an in-house team of highly qualified translators capable of conveying the original message in an equivalent and culturally sensitive manner, so that it reads as if it was originally crafted in the target language.
3. Editing. The assigned editor (a second linguist) will refine the translated document by correcting any grammatical errors or suggesting idiomatic clarifications / deletions to improve readability and eliminate ambiguity.
4. Proofing. Our skilled proofreaders will ensure that any errors that may have slipped in during the layout process will be corrected in time.
5. Delivery.  The finished project will be delivered to the client on or before the agreed delivery date.
